United Nations

As part of the World Environment Day initiative I worked with the UN Environment programme (based in Nairobi) to form an impactful visual brand identity. The theme was air pollution, a global emergency that causes around 7 million premature deaths every year. Hosted by China, President Xi Jinping stressed his country’s willingness to share its experience combating air pollution with other nations. “Beat Air Pollution”: the identity needed to speak to multiple UN markets (and the world at large), therefore the identity was required to be set in five alphabets, across nine languages. The brand assets I created were then featured throughout various social media graphics, a website, merchandise, a promotional video, and so on. The campaign branding was televised and projected across the world to raise awareness to beat air pollution.
